Home

The French Pyrenees is a huge mountain range, stretching 240 miles from West to East, (the Atlantic to the Med), and 80 miles North to South, taking in France, Spain and Andorra. The landscape has a diversity rarely equalled in Europe - lush meadow lands and vineyards give way to permanent ice-capped peaks, dense forests, steep sided valleys and sun beaten canyons. The summers are hot, autumn brings an infusion of colour and winter offers snow-capped peaks and winter sunshine - heaven for motorcyclists with a sense of adventure, a love of nature and, of course, twisting tarmac! The area is rich in wildlife and birds of prey, including Griffin, Egyptian and Bearded Vultures, Red and Black Kites, Golden Eagles, Buzzards and Bears, Marmottes, Deer and Wild Boar.

To the North

Ride North into Old Gascony, the land of The Musketeers, wine and garlic! See the vines throughout the rolling countryside and smell their magnificent aromas. Stop off at one of the Chateaus and sample the wines (although in moderation, of course!), "Madiran" and "St Mont" being the much loved local brews. Pass through the old bastide towns and fortified villages dating back hundreds of years. Stop for a coffee and pastry and soak up the atmosphere at the birthplace of D'Artagnan, or buy some garlic at St Clar, the garlic capital of France.

To the South

To the South the roads twist and turn through the steep forested river valleys of the French Pyrenees, over the high passes and into Spain - a land of spectacular canyons and the high Sierras of Aragon. Stop on route and enjoy the hospitality and culture of both the French and the Spanish people. Absorb the wildlife and the sentiment of this amazing area.
