Paragliding

Numerous flying sites within the area, for all levels of experience - from pleasant 2000ft - 4000ft "top to bottoms", to the lively and extreme mountain peaks. Most sites have grassy takeoffs and large landing areas.

We can offer you information regarding the sites and local weather conditions and arrange tandem flights for non-flyers with the local club.

Winter sports, including Skiing, (Down-hill and Cross Country), Snowboarding and Racquetting

There are more than a dozen ski restorts within 1.5 hours from Tarbes, accessable by road.

La Mongie is the largest in the High Pyrenees, offering more than 45 graded pistes and snow boarding parks - this is only a 40 minute drive from us. There are also numerous "ski de fond", (or cross country) sites, for those who prefer a calmer, more relaxing environment

Canoeing, Rafting, Climbing, Canyoning and Quad Biking

There are many places within the area which offer adventure sports such as canoeing, kayaking and rafting.

There are also climbing walls within the area (internal and external), and it is also possible to go canyoning and quad biking with local guides.

Walking and Bird Watching

The Pyrenees is a wonderful place for wildlife. Come and see the birds of prey, including the Red and Black Kites, Buzzards, Griffins, Egyptian and Bearded Vultures.

Try and spot a Marmotte or Ibex in the mountain peaks, or a deer or wild boar in the lower pastural lands.

The pyrenees is also riddled with well marked paths and graded walks, to ensure that you make the most of your walking experience. Walk through lower lying farming lands, the steep wooded valleys or up to the mountain lakes, where you can enjoy magnificent views of the peaks.

Thermal Baths & Spas and Waterparks

If you are feeling a little tired why not take the opportunity to relax in one of the many thermal baths / spas in the area. The area is famous for its' spring sources and there are, therefore, many centres offering spas, saunas, jacuzzis and steams rooms, etc
